Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
Where is my portfolio stored?
Holdings, purchases, sales, and settings are stored in an encrypted file on your iPhone. MyDeepStack does not require an account and does not upload your portfolio to the developer.
What is the difference between Standard and Local Storage Only?
Standard mode allows the encrypted store and its Keychain key to participate in supported iPhone backups. Local Storage Only excludes the files from backups and pins the key to that device. Local Storage Only records cannot be recovered if the phone is lost, erased, damaged, or replaced.
How is portfolio value calculated?
Value is based on each item’s fine metal weight, quantity, and the latest available spot price. Supported premium rules can adjust certain Morgan and Peace dollar values. Values are estimates, not dealer bids.
How do I import or export CSV files?
Open Settings → Export & Import to export purchases or sales, or to import purchases. Import adds valid rows and reports invalid rows without deleting your existing records. See the complete CSV import and export guide, accepted columns, and sample file →
Why might a price be delayed?
The Prices tab shows the quote timestamp. A weak connection, a market-data provider outage, or rate limiting can delay a refresh. Pull or tap Refresh Now when connectivity returns.
Can support see or restore my stack?
No. Support has no remote access to your device or encrypted store. Recovery depends on your selected storage mode and any device backups or CSV exports you created.
How do I delete my data?
Delete individual purchases, holdings, or disposal records inside the app, or use Settings → Data Management → Delete All Holdings. Deleting the app removes its local container; existing device backups and exported files are controlled separately.
What if the app says my data was saved by a newer version?
Update MyDeepStack from the App Store or TestFlight. The app deliberately leaves the newer store untouched and blocks edits until a compatible version is installed.

CSV import and export
Open Settings → Export & Import to export purchase or sales records, or import purchases. Import is additive: valid rows become purchase lots, invalid rows are reported, and existing records are not deleted.
The online CSV guide includes the required columns, accepted aliases, cost methods, date formats, quoting rules, and a ready-to-edit sample file.

Privacy and security
App Lock can require Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode and hides portfolio content from the app-switcher snapshot. MyDeepStack does not receive biometric data.
